Home Made Play Doh Recipe
Kids love homemade play doh! It's the perfect texture and this recipe gives them one more sense to play with, smell! With the added spices, kids will have endless fun and your house will smell great, too!
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup salt
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups water
- 1 Tablespoon cream of tartar
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
- Red and Yellow Food Coloring
- Optional: 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Pumpkin Pie Spice cinnamon, nutmeg, or cloves to help bring out the fall smell!
Directions:
Stir ingredients in a pan and heat on medium for a few minutes.
As you stir, the mixture will form into a ball.
When the mixture gets thicker remove it from the heat, but continue to stir it.
Take the play doh off of the heat, and wait until the mixture cools a little.
Add flour and knead, as needed.
Play Doh can be saved in a ziplock bag for at least a month.
Use different colors (and spices) for different holidays; orange for Halloween, green for Earth Day, red for Valentine's Day, etc.!
